How to dress - In your 40's and 50's

The way to dress in your 40's and 50's should reflect on your personality, don't feel like you have to dress young to stay young, find your own personal style from inspirational street style, find your favourite style icons, research their looks and make a mood-board, you can still look trendy with the minimal pieces you need.

When it comes to finding the best pieces for work-wear go to stores which has good quality that way you know this item will last long, holds the most essential smart items which will work with your capsule work wardrobe. Having a white blouse is important. Every woman should own a white shirt in their wardrobe. This piece can be worn in so many different ways if you want a casual smart look wear this shirt with denim jeans and the must have piece you need also a tailored black blazer which will add structure to your outfit making this look casual or dressy, keep your accessories to minimal focusing on the white blouse just add statement stud earrings. I have created a smart work-wear look for you to re-create. I just love this Wool Cape from H&M a smarter way for outerwear.
MY TIP: If you have a detailed top don't be afraid to add small printed tartan trousers like these above to add fun and creativity to your outfit, not the typical black and white uniform.

HOW TO DRESS -
For everyday

Dressing for everyday can sometimes be frustrating your constantly saying "I have nothing to wear". "Nothing goes together". "I need new clothes". But not no more! I have chosen two pieces that you can work together but also separate which can transform any outfit. Turtle necks is a must have this fall season it's the most versatile item you need to have you can dress it up with a sequin skirt or down with ripped jeans and ankle boots. The second item is a midi skirt. I love this burgundy pleated skirt from Marks and Spencer, I have chosen this item because this is a smarter way to dress up your outfit. But for a casual look add a slogan t-shirt with flat shoes and a leather jacket.

It's girls night out and you want to look smart but also dressy. I have chosen this electric blue top with a jeweled neck detail to add a statement. Keeping this look classic and chic I added this white blazer from Marks and Spencer. Paired it with the most top essential piece you need black smart trousers to keep your outfit still dressy for any occasion. Statement jeweled clutch bag is the must have accessory that you can take with you anywhere day or night.

How to dress for the fuller figure.....

Jacket - Monsoon Top - Dorothy Perkins  Jeans - New look Shoes - New look Bag - New look Jewelery - Topshop
I was requested by my god mother to know how to dress for the fuller women - when styling for the fuller women a wrap top is so flattering, the wrap detail on front of this top will hide your tummy and give you a lovely shape, v neck tops will elongate your neck and balance out your top half to your bottom half. Wear a printed kimono to add some glam but keep the prints small, Wearing boot cut jeans will make your legs look longer, give you great curves keep the bottom half dark to draw attention to your top half, add flat shoes, color coordinate with colors from the kimono for your accessories and your ready to go.
I will be posting more outfits for the fuller figure :-)
